In addition to looking after our own employees, we’re also committed to making a difference to the local communities we work in, as well as the wider world through a host of charitable initiatives and our commitment towards social welfare and social responsibilities. When our factory was first established, Khopoli was a tiny village without any amenities or access to education. It was the late Dr. Dhote that started the first school in Khopoli within Alta’s premises. Today this bustling school is the impetus for over 2500 students every year that go on to get a higher education. In the late 70’s Alta offered the government a part of its premises to house the telephone exchange and thereby help the growth of the area. This telephone exchange continued to remain in Alta for over 25 years.The late Dr. Dhote has been the father of the Industries Association of Khopoli. He was instrumental in setting up the Industrial Estate in Khopoli, which today provides employment to thousands of people from the local area.
